The Villas at Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is Disney’s newest Disney Vacation Club property and is located near the spa and wedding pavilion at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.  The Villas at Grand Floridian Resort & Spa are themed around the classic Disney film, Mary Poppins. In fact, as guests approach the building, they will encounter a large fountain depicting scenes and characters from the film. In addition to villa accommodations there is also a new children’s play area. This resort is considered the premier Disney Vacation Club property at Walt Disney World Resort, featuring granite counters, marble tiling, cove ceilings, state-of-the-art mirror TVs, freestanding tubs, home theater systems and much more. Like other Disney Vacation Club properties, The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian are also available to the public for nightly reservations on a limited basis. The “home away from home” setting gives guests access to all the services and amenities of the Disney’s flagship resort, the Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, along with the convenience of villas which include kitchenettes or full kitchens, living rooms, and in-villa laundry facilities. This resort is sure to be a favorite among guests for its luxurious atmosphere, access to fine dining, and its convenient location to nearby Magic Kingdom theme park.

Villas Transportation

 

The Monorail is available for transportation to the Magic Kingdom as well as Epcot (transfer required). There is also a water launch to the Magic Kingdom. There is Disney bus transportation to Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom as well as the water parks and Disney Springs.

The monorail stop is located off the Grand Lobby second floor, at the front of the resort. The bus stop is located in front of the resort, to the right as you exit the Grand Lobby on the first floor. The boat launch is located on the Seven Seas Lagoon side of the resort, near Narcoossee’s.

Transportation Times Between Grand Floridian Resort and Disney Destinations

These times are approximate, provided to give you an idea of average travel times. Please plan on up to a 20 minute wait for Disney transportation in addition to walking time to resort or theme park transportation stops.

Magic Kingdom – 5 minutes by monorail, 15 minutes by boat
Epcot – 17 minutes by bus, 30 minutes by monorail
Disney’s Hollywood Studios – 16 minutes by bus, 19 minutes by car
Disney’s Animal Kingdom – 20 minutes by bus, 18 minutes by car

Resort Childcare

There is no on-site childcare center at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Guests can make reservations at another center. The closest location is Lilo’s Playhouse at the Polynesian Village Resort.
