Inspired by the magic of Disney Movies, Disney's All-Star Movies resort is one of the popular value resorts at Walt Disney World. The resort has 1,920 guest rooms and is located near Disney's Animal Kingdom and Blizzard Beach water park. Families will enjoy the whimsy of this brightly colored movieland.

The resort features Giant icons from many favorite Disney movies and sets the scene making the perfect photo spot for guests. Colossal images from "101 Dalmatians," "Toy Story," "Fantasia," "The Mighty Ducks" and "The Love Bug" decorate the resort hotel. Pongo and Perdita from "101 Dalmatians" and Buzz Lightyear from "Toy Story" tower more than 35 feet tall. Buzz's partner Woody sits 25 feet tall in his super-size cowboy hat. "Herbie" the famous love bug is approximately five times his normal size. Giant sorcerers' hats, spell books, brooms and buckets decorate the "Fantasia" area, and "The Mighty Ducks" section scores with giant hockey sticks, goalie nets and duck-shaped hockey masks.

All-Star Movies, like all Disney resorts, is smoke-free. Designated outdoor smoking areas are indicated on the Resort Map.

MouseForLess Room Request Tips:

We stayed in room 9701 (Builiding#9 Toy Story). When we opened the room door, we were in Andy's room. The kids LOVED IT. It was also a very short walk to the snack bar and store –Green Family

We actually did not get our requests. I had requested the Toy Story section and ground floor and we got the Mighty Ducks and 3d floor. It ended up being the best room. We had the most beautiful view of the duck pool and it was really quite. I ended up loving the location and was glad for unanswered requests! - Amy McKnight

MouseForLess Hidden Treasures:

I thought the Herbie section was great it had the actual herbie car that was in the MK parade in the 70's. It also had some fountains and a hammock to relax in. My children really loved it and we almost missed it. - Amy McKnight

MouseForLess Tips for Romance:

For seclusion from others, try the farthest building in the back. They are usually quieter there. - Raven Williams

I wouldn't recommend this resort for romantic getaways as it is often noisy and filled to the brim with small children. - Venus Windmiller

MouseForLess Tips for Families:

Explore all this resort has to offer. There is a playground. The small kiddie pool was great. My three-year-old loved it. The Toy Story section was great for photo ops. - Amy McKnight

MouseForLess Tips for Large Travel Groups:

Ask in advance if rooms can be blocked off so that the group will be housed together. A group may sometimes be located in the preferred buildings without the additional charge. A free upgrade is nice. - Raven Williams

MouseForLess Tips for Guests with Special needs:

Make this request for any special need when you book your reservation. Call one-week prior to make sure your request is prominently listed on your form. If you find out when you check in your special need request has not been honored, ask to talk to a supervisor at the front desk. This has happened to me a few times. Once I talk with a supervisor and point out the request was on my original form, they reassign me to a room that meets my needs. - Raven Williams

If you need to rent a fridge for medical reasons, let the front desk know! You will be able to get it free of charge (saving $10 a night). - Renee Walker

MouseForLess Tips for WDW Newbies:

The check out is great, if you don't have any charges to your room there is nothing to do and if you do have charges they will send you an itemized statement of all your charges and you still don't have to go up front unless you don't agree with the charges. - Amy McKnight

Put on your sunscreen! The bus stop has no cover and can be hot on a sunny day. - Renee Walker

MouseForLess Tips for Budget Travelers:

The toiletries in the gift shop are overpriced. Double check your personal care items before you leave home. –Green Family

The value resorts are about the cheapest possible on Walt Disney World property. Use codes for discounts on packages and AAA for discounts for room only reservations. - Raven Williams

Both code discounts and AAA discounts on room only reservations can be booked through your The Magic For Less Travel Agent.

MouseForLess Tips for Luxury Travelers:

None of the value resorts include full-service restaurants. But if you have a car and are looking for a nice sit down meal the try a short drive to Coronado Springs Resort to dine at Maya Grill or Animal Kingdom Lodge for dinner at Boma or Jiko.
