AAA and CAA members can save on Walt Disney World room reservations through 2009. The AAA or CAA card is required at time of booking and when arriving at the resort. AAA and CAA discounts are usually not available during the Holiday season, and run 10 - 15 percent off the rest of the year. New rates for the following year are released about mid summer. While AAA room discounts are available by booking directly through Disney or with any travel agency, AAA packages must be booked through AAA. It has been reported that some AAA offices are now charging a fee to apply discount codes to packages. Disney often releases specials throughout the year that are better than AAA packages. Unlike some Disney specialized agencies, AAA does not monitor or automatically change packages to get you the best deal after booking. While initial package deals may look appealing, do be aware that you may not always have the best deal available by the time you travel. Bounceback offers are available ONLY to guests who are currently staying at one of the official Walt Disney World resorts. These offers are randomly available at certain times of the year and at certain resorts. Guests may receive a flyer in their room or see an offer on their resort TV and reservations must be made before guests check out of the resort. These offers can save you 20%, 30%, and even 40% off of rack rates. At the time the reservation is made, the guests can indicate that they would like their choice of travel agency noted on the reservation or when the guests returns home, they can be transfer their reservation to a travel agency to take advantage of any specials or promotions that may be offer. Pin Codes sent directly from Disney in the form of post cards and emails are another way to get good discounts. No one is sure how one gets one of these, but if you should get one, they can also be booked directly through a travel agent to take advantage of any specials or promotions that may be offered as well. Sail with popular Disney Channel stars this summer aboard the Disney Wonder® Cruise Ship during the first-ever "Disney Channel Summer at Sea," presented by Kodak. While details and dates have not been announced yet for Disney 2009 holiday cruises, in past years there were special Halloween cruises in late October, and holiday-themed cruises for Thanksgiving, the entire month of December and New Years on both the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder.
