If you will be traveling to Walt Disney World this Thanksgiving, you may already have your Thanksgiving meal already planned out. However, if you don’t, there are quite a few options that you should really consider. Some, like Liberty Tree Tavern and Be Our Guest Restaurant, have been snatched up a long time ago, but there are others, like Biergarten and Hollywood Brown Derby, that likely don’t come to mind when people are planning for Thanksgiving. Disney will be offering both lunch and dinner options at many different locations. Here are the options and my suggestions for which one I would choose!
Since the other two are likely to be all booked up, if you’re looking for a sit down meal for Thanksgiving, Tony’s is where you should head.
While German delights aren’t exactly Thanksgiving-y, I chose Biergarten because they’ll be offering Thanksgiving menu items in addition to schnitzel and bratwurst, and the setting is pretty lively and fun! For those looking for counter service, you honestly cannot go wrong with Sunshine Seasons though.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
If you’re looking for a dressed up Thanksgiving experience, try the Hollywood Brown Derby. The food is spectacular here all the time, so I can only imagine how fantastic it would be for the holiday.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Well, this one is your only choice here…so….Tusker House it is!
Of course, if you’ll be visiting Downtown Disney, you can always stop by Earl of Sandwich for their famous Holiday Sandwich. (A delightful meal of turkey, stuffing, gravy, cranberries, and mayonnaise on a toasted bun.) It really tastes like the holidays all in one portable meal!
Say you’ll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels! You’re in luck, as there are plenty of unique options to choose from. (For each resort that has two options, I’ll give you my best pick.)
Disney’s All Star Sports Resort
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
While both are excellent choices, I think I’d go for Jiko over Sanaa…only because Jiko is the more upscale option. Honestly, I don’t think you’d go wrong with either choice though here.
Disney’s Beach Club Resort
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- Shutters at Old Port Royale
Disney’s Contemporary Resort
At this point, I don’t think you’ll be able to get a reservation for California Grill, and I recently had a fantastic meal at The Wave, so The Wave it is. If you are looking at this post for future Thanksgivings, then California Grill.
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground
Trail’s End…hands down! Some of the best home-style cooking on Walt Disney World property.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa
I would suggest Narcoossee’s for those looking for an elegant meal.
Disney’s Old Key West
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Get the family together and celebrate at Whispering Canyon!
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
One of the best meals I’ve had on Disney property has been at Yachtsman…so I’d go there. (Plus, I mean, even if they are offering a special Thanksgiving themed meal…how can you go wrong with steak?)
Truth be told, if you get to celebrate Thanksgiving at Walt Disney World, any option you choose is a good one. You are there celebrating with family and friends, which is what it’s really all about.
