Splash Mountain has closed and is going to be re-themed to a The Princess and the Frog attraction. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be all-new adventure. It will bring Guests into the film like never before at the Magic Kingdom. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will take guests on a musical adventure inspired by the beloved story and characters from the fan-favorite film. The attraction is expected to open in summer 2024.

 

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be a flume ride that take guests on a musical adventure inspired by the beloved story and characters from the fan-favorite film. Picking up where the film left off, Guests will join Princess Tiana, Naveen and alligator Louis through the bayou. They are getting ready to prepare to host a one-of-a-kind Mardi Gras celebration. Along the way, guests will encounter familiar faces, make new friends and travel through the bayou. The attraction will follow the same path as Splash Mountain did before and will include several drops, including a thrilling five-story plunge that is visible from the front of the attraction. The attraction will incorporate AudioAnamatronics, elaborately themed sets, and unforgettable music from The Princess and the Frog, plus new original music inspired by songs from the film.

Top Tips for Splash Mountain

      • Guests seated in the front of the log are more likely to get wet than those seated in the back.
      • Consider wearing a poncho to avoid getting wet. These are available for purchase at gift shops throughout Walt Disney World. This tip is especially important during the morning and on cooler days.
