Best of all, there’s nothing you need to do to join. After completing your first eligible Disney Cruise Line sailing, Disney automatically recognizes you as a Silver Castaway Club Member. As you complete additional cruises, you’ll progress through Gold, Platinum, and eventually Pearl membership levels.

Disney Cruise Line Castaway Club Levels and Benefits
The Castaway Club features four distinct levels, each offering progressively greater rewards and perks. As you accumulate more Disney Cruise Line sailings, you’ll enjoy enhanced benefits and privileges, making each voyage even more magical.
Disney Cruise Line currently offers four Castaway Club membership levels based on the number of eligible Disney cruises you’ve completed:

New to Disney Cruise Line
If you haven’t completed a Disney cruise yet, you won’t have Castaway Club status.
However, your first cruise starts your journey toward membership. After completing one eligible Disney Cruise Line sailing, you’ll become a Silver Castaway Club Member and begin receiving returning-Guest benefits on future cruises.
First-time Guests can currently book eligible cruise activities 75 days before sailing and complete Online Check-In 30 days before sailing.

After Completing 1 Sailing
After completing your first eligible Disney Cruise Line cruise, you’ll become a Silver Castaway Club Member.
Silver Members receive several advantages over first-time cruisers, including earlier access to cruise activities and Online Check-In.

The Welcome Back Aboard gift is limited to one gift per stateroom based on the highest Castaway Club level staying in that stateroom.
For many families, the biggest Silver benefit is the earlier activity-booking window. Those extra 15 days can help when trying to reserve popular experiences such as adult-exclusive dining, Port Adventures, spa treatments, beverage tastings, nursery time, and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
Gold Castaway Club Member
After Completing 5 Sailings
After completing five eligible Disney cruises, Guests reach Gold Castaway Club status.
Gold Members receive all applicable Silver benefits along with additional booking advantages and onboard perks.

- Booking new itineraries at least 2 days before the general public
- Booking eligible cruise activities 105 days before sailing

Platinum Castaway Club Member
After Completing 10 Sailings
Guests reach Platinum Castaway Club status after completing 10 eligible Disney Cruise Line sailings.
In addition to Silver and Gold benefits, Platinum Members receive even earlier booking privileges and a complimentary premium dining experience.

- Booking new itineraries at least 3 days before the general public
- Booking eligible cruise activities 120 days before sailing

Complimentary Dining for Platinum Members
One of the most valuable Platinum benefits is complimentary premium dining.
Platinum Members can enjoy one complimentary dinner at Palo, Palo Steakhouse, or Palo Trattoria, depending on the ship. The benefit extends to eligible Guests staying in the Platinum Member’s stateroom, but the eligible Member must attend the meal.
Disney limits the benefit to one complimentary experience per stateroom, per sailing, and reservations remain subject to availability. Minimum age restrictions may also apply.
Pearl Castaway Club Member
After Completing 25 Sailings
Guests who complete 25 eligible Disney Cruise Line sailings reach the highest current Castaway Club membership level: Pearl.
Pearl Members receive all applicable Silver, Gold, and Platinum benefits, along with Disney Cruise Line’s earliest booking windows and several additional perks.
Current Pearl Castaway Club benefits include:
- Booking new itineraries at least 4 days before the general public
- Booking eligible cruise activities 123 days before sailing
- Completing Online Check-In 40 days before sailing
- Automatic Boarding Group 2 assignment

Automatic Boarding Group for Pearl Members
One important Pearl benefit is that Members do not need to select a Port Arrival Time during Online Check-In in the same way as other Guests.
Disney currently assigns Pearl Members Boarding Group 2 automatically.
Complimentary Unlimited Digital Photo Package
Pearl Members also receive a complimentary Unlimited Digital Photo Package.
Disney automatically adds this benefit to the Pearl Member’s stateroom. It covers the Pearl Member and occupants staying in the same stateroom. Other Pearl Members traveling in separate staterooms within the same party can receive the benefit for their respective rooms as well.

Maintaining Your Castaway Club Membership
To remain an active member of the Castaway Club, you need to book or sail on at least one eligible Disney cruise within five years of your last trip. Staying engaged with the program ensures you continue to enjoy all the fantastic advantages that come with being a Castaway Club member.
Castaway Club vs. Disney Cruise Line Placeholder
Castaway Club membership and a Disney Cruise Line Placeholder Reservation are separate programs.
Returning cruisers earn Castaway Club status based on the number of eligible Disney Cruise Line sailings they complete. A Placeholder Reservation, on the other hand, is an onboard booking offer that allows eligible Guests to place a refundable deposit toward a qualifying future Disney cruise.
Disney’s current Placeholder terms require a $250 deposit per stateroom, allow up to two staterooms, and require the eligible future sailing to begin within 24 months of the Placeholder booking.
