Fishing Excursions

Bass Fishing Excursions – Select Resorts, Fort Wilderness & Downtown Disney Marinas
Includes fishing equipment, rod, reel, artificial bait, shiners (live bait), non-alcoholic beverages and voucher for a free BASS Membership which includes 11 issues of Bass Magazine. While guests can bring their own fishing equipment, they may not bring their own food, beverage or coolers. Bass Members get 10% off. Pontoon boats can accommodate up to 5 guests. Reservations can be made 90 days in advance by calling 407-WDW-BASS (939-2277) and are required 24 hours in advance. A credit card or resort ID is required at the time of the reservation, but guests will pay after the excursion. Guests failing to show or who do not cancel with at least 24-hour notice will be charged in full. All excursions are catch and release. Children under age 12 must wear a Personal Flotation Device. Guest under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Bass Nitro Fishing Excursions – Select Resorts & Fort Wilderness Marinas

Guided fishing excursion on a tournament style Bass boat is available for more experienced anglers. Includes guide, fishing equipment, rod, reel, artificial bait, non-alcoholic beverages and voucher for a free BASS Membership which includes 11 issues of Bass Magazine (one per boat). While guests can bring their own fishing equipment, they may not bring their own food, beverage or coolers. Nitro Bass boat can accommodate up to 2 guests. Flying fishing can be arranged. Reservations can be made 90 days in advance by calling 407-WDW-BASS (407-939-2277) and are required 24 hours in advance. A credit card or resort ID is required at the time of the reservation, , but guests will pay after the excursion. Rod and Pole Fishing

Rod or Pole Fishing – Port Orleans Resort – Riverside and Fort Wilderness

All fishing at Walt Disney World Resort is catch-and-release only.

Traditional cane-pole fishing is offered at the Fishin’ Hole at Old Man Island at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside.

  • Individual Pole Rental – $4 per 30 minutes
  • Family Package Pole Rental – $12.46 for the all-day (4 to 6 people)

Rod fishing is offered off the dock at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Rods and bait can be rented from the Bike Barn.

Horseback Riding and Pony Rides

Horseback Riding – Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground

Guests 9 years of age and up can ride through an woodland teeming with deer, ducks, armadillos and rabbits. This ride is perfect for beginner and intermediate riders, and are a great way to explore the natural beauty of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Reservations are recommended, and closed-toe shoes are required. Riders must be over 48 inches tall and weigh under 250 pounds. Check-in is located at the entrance of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Call for 407-WDW-PLAY for reservations. A credit card is required at the time of the reservation. Guests failing to show or who do not cancel with at least 24-hour notice will be charged in full.

Pony Rides – Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground

Pony rides are offered daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. near Pioneer Hall at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Riders must be at least 2 years of age, under 80 pounds, no taller than 48 inches and able to hang on by themselves. A parent or guardian must lead the pony at all times. Tri-Circle accepts cash payments only.

Carriage & Wagon Rides

Carriage Rides – Several Locations

Relax and ride through lush woodland or travel along scenic river banks on a horse-drawn carriage ride. Carriage rides are available at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort Riverside. Wildlife usually comes out around dusk; you might catch a glimpse of rabbits, ducks, hawks, deer, wild turkey or even a bobcat. Carriages accommodate 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 small children. Smaller carriages are also available at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground that accommodate 2 adults and 1 small child. Advance reservations are recommended and can be made by calling WDW-PLAY. A credit card is required at the time of the reservation. Guests failing to show or who do not cancel with at least 24-hour notice will be charged in full. Walk-up guests are accepted at the departure location if unreserved carriages are available at the time of inquiry. Tickets are sold by the carriage drivers with cash and Disney Resort guest room charge as acceptable payment. Credit cards are not accepted. Guests may bring their own beverages on the ride. Carriage rides may be canceled due to inclement weather.

Wagon rides – Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground

Take an old-fashioned, horse-drawn wagon ride on a scenic tour through Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Available on a first-come, first-served basis, wagon rides depart nightly at 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. (weather permitting) from the front of Pioneer Hall. On select nights, firework rides depart at 8:30 p.m., replacing the regular 8:30 ride, and offer a view and audio of the Magic Kingdom fireworks when held.

Group wagon rides for up to 30 adults or a combination of 35 adults and children cost $300 per hour and are available with 24-hour notice by calling (407) 824-2832.

Sammy Duvall’s Water Sports

Sammy Duvall’s Water Sports – Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Sammy Duvall’s, located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort offers Parasailing, Water Skiing, Wake Boarding, and Family Tubing. Reservations may be made up to 1 Year in advance by calling (407) 939-0754 or booking online at sammyduvall.com. A credit card is required at the time of the reservation. Guests failing to show or who do not cancel with at least 24-hour notice will be charged in full. Otherwise, tour credit card will not be charged until you check in for your reservation. Sammy Duvall’s Watersports Center is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (last departure 4:30 p.m.), except for 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. when it shuts down for refueling. The Captain can cancel trips due to lightning, restricted visibility or inclement weather.

Parasailing

Feel the wind in your hair as you fly solo above Bay Lake, or share the spectacular sights with a friend on a tandem flight. State-of-the-art parasailing technology lets you take off and land gently from the boat deck, so you can safely soar to great heights without having to get wet. Fliers must be 6 years of age and up, and the combined passenger weight in the parachute must be between 130 and 330 pounds. If a flier is under the minimum weight requirement, he or she may ride tandem with another child or adult to reach the minimum weight. Minors under 18 years of age must have an adult present to sign waivers prior to boarding the parasail boat. Flights are available every 30 minutes, 7 days a week as weather permits. The Parasail boat can carry 6 guests; Flyers have priority, but if there is extra room they can take riders at no additional charge. Reservations are highly recommended.

Fort Wilderness Archery Experience

Archery Lessons plus target shooting are available at the Bike Barn at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Guests 7 years of age and up can learn how to hold and fire a compound bow—then it’s time for target practice! Most of this 90-minute experience is dedicated to firing at range targets. With class sizes limited to 10 Guests, each marksman receives personalized advice from the Archery Guides. Reservations are recommended and can be made up to 180 days in advance. Walk-ups are welcome as space permits, and family and friends who prefer to watch may do so from a designated viewing area located a safe distance from the archers. Please allow up to 1.5 hours when traveling within Walt Disney World Resort. Guests who plan on driving may park at the entrance to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and take the Yellow or Orange Line buses to Bike Barn. Call 407-WDW-PLAY (939-7529) to reserve your spot.

Tennis – Select Resorts

Tennis courts are available at 7 Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Courts are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are generally accessible from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m, though hours may vary by location and courts may occasionally be booked for lessons or events. Any Guest of a Walt Disney World Resort hotel may access the tennis courts, and equipment can be obtained using your Key to the World card or a valid Resort ID. Disney Vacation Club members may check out equipment free of charge; for all other Guests, an associated fee applies. Appropriate tennis attire and shoes are required.

Volleyball courts can can be found at 8 Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Well-groomed, white-sand courts can be found at 8 locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort, and a water volleyball court is located at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel. Any Guest of a Walt Disney World Resort hotel may access the volleyball courts, and equipment can be obtained using a valid Resort ID. Disney Vacation Club members may check out equipment free of charge; for all other Guests, an associated fee applies.
