Diagon Alley announced at Universal Studios
Universal Orlando has announced an Expansion of Wizarding World of Harry Potter in which ‘London’ and Diagon Alley will come to life at Universal Studios park. Scheduled to open in 2014, the world’s first centrally themed, multi-park experience will allow guests to travel between ‘London’ and Hogsmeade, located at Islands of Adventure park, aboard the Hogwarts Express. The new area will bring to life some of the experiences and places found in and around London in the Harry Potter books and films. Diagon Alley and ‘London’ will be located within the Universal Studios Florida theme park. The new area within Universal Studios will be just as expansive, immersive and authentic as the existing themed environment of Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal’s Islands of Adventure theme park. Work on the new area is already underway. When complete, it will also feature shops, a restaurant and an innovative, marquee attraction based on Gringotts bank.
Universal On-site & Vacation Package Guests Get Early Entry for Transformers
It's official! The highly-anticipated TRANSFORMERS: The Ride - 3D will open on June 20, 2013. The groundbreaking ride will bring the intergalactic battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons to life by fusing HD 3D media and flight simulation technology in a 2-story building with 2,000 feet of multi-level ride-track. The same high resolution 3D technology used in The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man attraction will be used on fourteen screens within this attraction. The new ride will be located at the Universal Studios theme park, near the Shrek attraction. Plus, July 1 through September 2 Universal on-site and vacation package guests will receive Early Park Admission to Universal Studios Florida to ride Transformers one hour before the general public. The new Despicable Me Minion Mayhem will also be open for guests to enjoy.
Universal's New Cabana Bay Hotel Orlando Now Accepting Reservations
Guests can now book reservations for Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort, the new, 1800-room hotel at Universal Orlando Resort that will feature value-priced guest rooms and moderately priced family suites. The hotel is scheduled to open in early 2014 - with reservations now being accepted for stays beginning on March 31, 2014. The new hotel will evoke the classic, retro-feel of iconic beach resorts from the 1950s and 60’s. When complete, there will be two pool complexes with sand beach and interactive features, a themed lazy river experience and 10-lane bowling alley. Family suite rates will begin at $174 per-night; standard room rates will begin at $119 per-night. Package rates are available with savings based on length-of-stay; a family of four can stay for seven nights for $47 per person, per-day – including accommodations and tickets to both Universal Orlando theme parks. Guests at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort will enjoy benefits that include Early Theme Park Admission, complimentary delivery of merchandise purchased throughout the resort to their hotel and resort-wide charging privileges with their room key. Cabana Bay Beach Resort will not, however, receive the complimentary Universal Express Unlimited ride access that is offered to guests staying at Universal's 3 deluxe hotels: Loews Portofino Bay, the Hard Rock Hotel and Loews Royal Pacific Resort. Loews Portofino Bay Hotel Unveils Newly Renovated Rooms

Universal Express Unlimited Kiosks for On-Site Hotel Guests - On-site hotel guest will no longer show their room key card for FREE Universal Express Unlimited ride access. Instead they will need a pass that will be printed at the NEW kiosk located at each on-site hotel. The new pass will have the Guests picture and period of stay. Guests who forget to print their pass at the on-site hotels will be directed to kiosks located within the parks.
Kid’s Suites
Kids Suites let mom and dad have a little privacy, and the kids have some fun! With a standard king bedroom for the adults plus a separate room for the kids, there's plenty of space for the whole family. The two separate rooms are connected via a door that can be open or closed, and feature a single entrance to the adult room. In other words, the children's room opens only into the adult's room, and not into the hallway.
