II. LIST MANAGEMENT
1. How do I set my delivery options to receive only “Special Notices” from the group moderator such as “The Best of TheMouseForLess”?
To set your delivery options to receive “only special announcements,” you must first go to the TheMouseForLess Yahoo Groups home page. On the upper left corner of the page (next to your name) click on “Edit My Membership.” On the new page, under the “Message Delivery” heading, click “Special notices – Receive only important email notices from the group moderator”. With this option selected, you can read the list messages over the internet at your leisure, and still not miss any important announcements from the list owner and moderators. You will all receive only the most relevant money-saving messages posted to the TheMouseForLess list.
2. How do I set my mailing option to “Daily Digest”?
To set your mailing options to “Daily Digest” send a blank message to: TheMouseForLessfirstname.lastname@example.org. You can also set your delivery options from the TheMouseForLess Yahoo Groups home page. On the upper left corner of the page (next to your name) click on “Edit My Membership,” and click “Daily digest – Receive a daily compilation of many emails in one message”. With this option selected you will receive one mailing which contains the most recent 25 TheMouseForLess email messages. On a busy day, you may receive between 5-10 daily digests. Choosing this option will greatly reduce the clutter in your inbox.
3. How do I set my email message delivery option to “Hold”?
To hold your messages, send a blank message to: TheMouseForLessemail@example.com. You can also set your delivery options from the TheMouseForLess Yahoo Groups home page. On the upper left corner of the page (next to your name) click on “Edit My Membership,” and click “No email – I’ll read messages on the web site”. You should select this option when you will be away and don’t wish to receive any list mail at all. You may also use this option to read the TheMouseForLess messages over the web at your leisure (click on the words “Expand Messages” for easy reading), but you will not receive any special announcements from the list owner, or the weekly summary of “The Best of TheMouseForLess.”
4. How can my subscription be changed to “Individual Emails”?
Set your mailing option to “Individual Emails” by sending a blank message to: TheMouseForLessfirstname.lastname@example.org. You can also set your delivery options from the TheMouseForLess Yahoo Groups home page. On the upper left corner of the page (next to your name) click on “Edit My Membership,” and click “Individual emails – Receive individual messages”. The TheMouseForLess list is an extremely busy email list; with this option selected, you could receive over 200 messages per day in your inbox. This option should be used only for the most dedicated Disney addict.
5. How do I “Unsubscribe” from this list?
It’s easy! Send a blank email to TheMouseForLessemail@example.com DO NOT under any circumstance send the message “unsubscribe” to the TheMouseForLess list! It will not get you unsubscribed from the list. If you are having problems getting unsubscribed from the list, you may send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org asking for help.

Users should ensure that the content of messages is consistent with the topic and general theme of the list or forum to which they are posting. “On topic” for the TheMouseForLess email list is defined as all conversation pertaining to “saving for,” “getting to” or “spending time at” any Disney park. In addition, most other Disney topics are tolerated on the TheMouseForLess email list unless otherwise specified by the list owner. The list owner or moderators will have sole discretion in deciding if a list or forum message violates these guidelines. All such decisions will be final and not subject to debate. All messages posted on the TheMouseForLess email list should be relevant to most members. All messages posted to the TheMouseForLess email list and other forums should be “PG”. Jokes, chain letters, poems, warnings, messages to be “forwarded to everyone you know” or of a political nature and virus information should never be posted to the TheMouseForLess list, or any other MFL fo.
If you feel that you have valuable information concerning a recent virus, please send it to email@example.com, and I will see that valid information gets posted to the MFL list and other relevant forums.
Solicitation or advertisement of any kind including for the purpose of sales, contributions, publicity, votes or the gathering information is not permitted on the TheMouseForLess list and other MFL forums without first receiving approval from the list owner. Since the TheMouseForLess list is supported by The Magic For Less Travel, we ask as a courtesy to our sponsor that travel agencies, tour operators and all other sellers of travel refrain from advertising on the list. Additionally, we request that “ads” for travel agencies, other than the sponsor agency, not be posted to the TheMouseForLess list.

And finally, you must always be sure that the subject line is relevant to the message (if the message has morphed into something else, change the subject line).
4. I receive the daily digest format of the TheMouseForLess list. How can I reply to messages?
If you receive your messages in the daily digest format, responding to messages will be slightly more difficult than simply hitting “reply” in your email program. First you must create a new email message. Place the appropriate topic in the subject of your email (example: the subject of your message should not be “Re: digest 564”). Then copy and paste the part of the post that you would like to respond to into the new email. Write your answer, and send the message to TheMouseForLess@yahoogroups.com.
5. What is the policy on signature lines on the TheMouseForLess and MFL Facebook Group?
All signatures must be limited to 2 lines and not more than 150 characters. Links to commercial sites of any type including those that are partial fan sites or home pages and partial commercial sites are strictly prohibited. ASCI art of any type is strictly prohibited. There will be several exceptions to these rules. ImaginEARs will be allowed to include their title in a 3rd line of their signatures as well as those who have earned an official TheMouseForLess title. Finally, the official sponsor of the TheMouseForLess list, The Magic For Less Travel, may have it’s agents include the name of the agency in their signature. There will be no other exceptions to the above signature rules.
6. Are the TheMouseForLess list and Facebook Group moderated?
The TheMouseForLess list and Facebook Group practice “moderation on demand.” For the most part, all messages post to the TheMouseForLess list and Facebook Group are left as is. However, if the list owner and /or moderators feel that certain threads or subjects may result in debates that are not conducive to the general theme or “spirit” of the TheMouseForLess list or MFL Facebook Group, they reserve the right to “moderate, edit or delete as needed” such messages or “potential messages” without notification or explanation to the author(s).
In addition, if any TheMouseForLess list member consistently disregards formatting posting rules such as failure to delete excess quoted material, limit signature lines or change subject lines to reflect the topic of the messages, the author(s) of such posts may have their messages edited by list owners or moderators as needed and without notification or explanation to the author(s).
7. Who owns the messages posted to the TheMouseForLess list or material posted on the TheMouseForLess.com web site?
By posting messages to the TheMouseForLess list or submitting material for publication on TheMouseForLess.com, users are granting the list and web site owners a royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive and irrevocable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute any message (in whole or in part) worldwide and to include it in other works in any other form, media, or technology.
Users may not join the TheMouseForLess list for the purpose of “collecting” information, tips or any other list material posted to their private email boxes or the TheMouseForLess archives without first receiving written approval by the list owner. No messages, tips or information posted to the TheMouseForLess list, archives or TheMouseForLess.com may be reproduced, posted to other forums, email lists, Facebook Group, news letters, web sites or otherwise published (either electronically or in hard copy) or broadcasted in any form without the written permission of the list owner.

From time to time you may receive what we here at TheMouseForLess like to refer to as “Gentle Reminders” concerning various posting issues on any of our MFL forums. No TheMouseForLess list member or forum user should take these reminders personally, as we all forget from time to time or need a little instruction. If we all cooperate with the posting rules outlined in this document, problems on the TheMouseForLess List and MFL forums should be minimal.
9. Can you explain the personal responsibility I assume by using or posting to any TheMouseForLess public list or MFL forums?
