DisneyBand+ Basics

DisneyBand+ will provide convenience to your Disney Cruise Line vacation, including at Castaway Cay. The band can be used for boarding the ship on embarkation day, accessing your stateroom, charging specialty food and merchandise, and other special surprises while on board.

For those familiar with Walt Disney World or Disneyland, the DisneyBand+ will feel very similar to the MagicBand+ in look and capability. It is, however, different from the Oceaneer Band, which is provided only to those 12 and under to gain access to children’s activity areas.

DisneyBand+ can be ordered between 11 and 45 days before eligible cruises, and starting pricing is $34.99 for solid bands and $44.99 for themed designs. (There is a special pre-arrival savings for some bands.) DisneyBand+ is non-refundable. They are only able to be shipped to valid U.S. addresses (including Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands).

DisneyBand+ Tech Specifics

DisneyBand+ has a battery that is estimated to last for 1 to 3 days, depending on use. It comes with a USB charging cable. It is recommended to fully charge once before use, and then each night during a cruise. However, even if the battery is depleted, some features, like stateroom access and purchase charging, will still work.

DisneyBand+ will be able to be used at Walt Disney World and the Disneyland Resort. Conversely, a MagicBand+ can be used in its place on a Disney Cruise. However, regular MagicBands are not compatible.

DisneyBand+ can also pair with most smartphones, including Apple and Android devices.
