Disney Cruise Line Adult Activities

Adults sometimes just need a little get-away and on the Disney Cruise Line ships that is easily done.   From enjoying a good book curled up on the deck, to having a nice meal, to relaxing in the spa, there is an option for everyone.

Some activities that take place for adults on the four Disney ships include fitness classes, beverage seminars, tastings classes, live music, games, bingo, trivia, tours, karaoke, and much more. These activities are more fluid, so for more information, make sure to check your Navigator for specific options and times.

For those who enjoy a good theater production, the Disney ships are famous for their Broadway caliber live shows. These are shown in the Walt Disney Theater aboard all four vessels.

There is a wide varity of additional options reserved for the above 18 crowd.

First, make sure you check out the Spas that can be found on all four ships. On the Disney Magic, Dream, and Fantasy, you’ll find Senses Spa and Salon, which offers services such as massages, manicures, pedicures, hairstyling, facials, and body wraps. On the Disney Wonder, guests will enjoy the Vista Spa and Salon.

There are also the Fitness Centers, which are fully loaded workout facilities. These locations offer up lots of group exercise classes during your cruise.

Guests who want to have an intimate romantic dining experience have a few different options available to them.  Palo, an adults-only restaurant named after the signature long poles used by gondoliers in Venice, can be found aboard all four ships. The restaurant offers sweeping views of the ocean—perfect for a sunset dinner. Palo serves Northern Italian cuisine for dinner. Guests on a four-night or longer cruise, you may also decide to enjoy Palo brunch, which takes place while the ship is at sea. This is a signature, fine dining experience. Dress pants, slacks and collared shirts are recommended for men and a dress, skirt or pants and a blouse are recommended for women. Jeans may also be worn if in good condition (no holes). Please no tank tops, swimsuits, swimsuit cover-ups, shorts, hats, cut-offs, torn clothing, t-shirts with offensive language and/or graphics, flip-flops or tennis shoes.

Remy, which is only found on the Disney Dream and Fantasy, serves the most upscale experience on board, featuring French-inspired cuisine for dinner. The restaurant is named after the character from Ratatouille. Dining here is a leisurely affair, with dinner served in multiple courses. The dinner dress code requires a tuxedo, sports jacket, or suit jacket along with dress pants for men, with ties optional. For women, a cocktail dress, pantsuit, or skirt and blouse are required. Jeans, shorts, capri pants, flip flops and tennis shoes are not permitted here.  Guests who cruise for four nights or longer may take part in the Champagne Brunch offered on a sea day. Dress code during brunch is dress pants and a shirt required for men. (A jacket is optional for brunch.) Women’s attire requires a dress or pantsuit. Jeans, shorts, capris, flip flops and tennis shoes are not allowed.

Both restaurants have additional costs associated with them and reservations are required, which can be made online from home or on board, if there is availability.

In between Palo and Remy, Meridian, which is an adults-only lounge where guests can enjoy a drink pre- or post-dinner. There is also an outdoor deck, which allows guests to relax with a cigar.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a cruise without a dip in the pool and the four Disney ships offer an adults only area featuring the Quiet Cove Pool. This area features a pool, hot tubs, and lounge chairs. On the Disney Fantasy, make sure to check out Satellite Falls, found on Deck 13. It’s a circular splash pool with a rain curtain and a sundeck. The Disney Fantasy also offers up a Wading Pool on Deck 12.

On the Disney Dream or Fantasy, guests may enjoy a beverage at the Cove Bar—a swim up bar. On the Disney Magic and Wonder, Signals serves up alcoholic beverages and snacks and the Cove Cafe serves coffees and tea.
