Starting in the streets of San Francisco, Universal Studios Florida will put on the Universal Mega Movie Parade on select days beginning July 3, 2024! This brand new Universal Orlando Resort parade will be a spectacular celebration of iconic movies. Universal Mega Movie Parade will feature E.T., Back to the Future, Jaws, Ghostbusters, Jurassic World, Illumination’s Minions and Sing and DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls and Kung Fu Panda.

Universal Mega Movie Parade Route

Universal Mega Movie Parade makes a giant circle, beginning between Universal Orlando’s Horror Make-Up Show and Cafe La Bamba. The parade then turns right, then turns left near Mel’s Drive-In. It then follows along the waterfront past Transformers toward the San Francisco area of the park. Once reaching Louie’s Pizza, the parade turns left, going past Revenge of the Mummy. The parade then turns left and heads toward the front of the park. It will go past Race Through New York and Rip Ride Rockit, where it makes another left onto Hollywood Boulevard. It then disappears backstage through the same gate it initially entered.

About the Universal Mega Movie Parade

The coolest part of this parade is that it will be Universal Orlando’s biggest daytime parade to date. There will be 13 brand new floats. There will also be nearly 100 performers that will include dancers, skaters, stilt walkers, poi performers and more. The parade will also include special effects that will result in a jaw-dropping experience. It will allow guests to be able to relive classic film moments in a whole new way.

This parade will feature a 16-foot Stay Puft Marshmallow Man atop the Ghostbusters float, the colorful Caterbus and giant rainbows on the Trolls float, a live marching drum line that will perform the iconic movie score of Jaws alongside a float themed to the film, and – for the epic finale – a Gyrosphere, Raptors and the fierce Tyrannosaurus rex aboard the Jurassic World float. And that’s just the start! Fans should also pay close attention to the parade to see if they can spot additional details that nod to iconic elements from the films.

• Universal Mega Movie Parade winds all the way through Universal Studios Florida so there are plenty of opportunities to see it.
• To get the best view of the street performing you will want to sit on/near the benches in front of Schwab’s Pharmacy. Or directly across the street where there are gift shops and concession spots.
• Any guests who may not want to enjoy the parade should use this time to ride some of the more popular rides in the area. When guests are watching the parade you will find wait times to be significantly shorter than usual.
