Horseback Riding at Walt Disney World
Fort Wilderness Campground Resort area is home to the Tri-Circle-D Ranch. A place where kids of all ages can experience ranch life for a day. The Tri-Circle-D Ranch houses all of the horses that give their services to Walt Disney World. These horses can be seen in parades, pulling the trolley up Main Street USA, or even pulling Cinderella’s beautiful carriage.
Children over the age of 2 and weighing less than 80 pounds can enjoy a pony ride at the Tri-Circle-D Ranch. The pony must be led by an adult and there is a small fee, under $10, associated with this experience. Pony Rides are offered from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm daily.
45 minute horseback trail rides are offered daily at 8:30, 10:00, 11:30, 1:00, and 2:30. To participate guests must be at least 9 years old and weigh under 250 pounds. Reservations can be made 30 days in advance and are recommended but not required. The trail ride costs $45.00. The trail meanders through Fort Wilderness Campground mostly avoiding guest areas. Closed-toe shoes are required and long pants are strongly recommended. Lockers are provided for personal belongings. This trail ride is suitable for beginners with horses, and does not require any sort of horsemanship skills.
Information about carriage rides can be found on our Recreation Pricing and Information page.
