Universal’s Partner Hotels

When looking for offsite lodging, there are a few things to consider:  quality, price, location, and amenities.  Many people want to be as close to the action as possible, and Universal Orlando has partnered with several different hotels that offer some options for everyone.  These hotels in the Orlando area are designated as “Universal Partner Hotels”.  This allows them to be booked as part of a Universal package.  The partner hotels are chosen based on a few different criteria including quality and closeness to the Universal Orlando theme parks.

The Universal Partner Hotels are, for the most part, divided into two categories based on amenities:  Value and Moderate.  Some of these hotels contain suites that will allow more room for larger groups or families.  A couple of the partner hotels even have a “water park”.  How cool is that?

Many of the Universal Partner Hotels provide scheduled transportation (fee may apply) to the Universal theme parks.  Also, many Universal Partner Hotels are less than 5 miles from the Universal theme parks with some as close as a mile away.  However, there are a few of the partner hotels that are 10 or more miles away.  If activities are planned throughout the Orlando area, a hotel that is further away from the Universal theme parks but closer to other planned destinations might work better, depending on the specific plans.

Guests staying at Universal Partner Hotels as part of a Universal package enjoy the CityWalk Party Pass and Early Park Admission for the entire party.  As a bonus, guests staying at select Universal Partner Hotels are eligible for a few bonus benefits including as follows:

  • Merchandise discounts at select locations in the theme parks.
  • Food and beverage (non-alcoholic) discounts at select locations in the theme parks and CityWalk.
  • Golf Universal Orlando Program – Golf reservations and complimentary transportation to certain courses within the area.

Each Universal Partner Hotel has its own set of policies and charges, so it might be worth the time to research the charges for each hotel that is being considered.  Is there a parking fee or is it free to park?  Is there a resort fee?

There are so many things to consider when choosing a Universal Partner Hotel, but the great thing about it is that there is a wide variety of choices.  From standard rooms to suites and pools to water parks, there is a little bit of something for nearly everyone.

Please remember that the hotels participating in the Universal Partner Hotel program may change at any time, and the benefits may change without notice, too.
