Wow! It’s been 25 years since the release of The Lion King! To celebrate, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is ready to showcase the film’s huge anniversary in a big way!
One way you can celebrate your love of the film is by participating in the brand new Magic Shots that are taken by Disney PhotoPass Photographers. There will be four new options available at the following locations: Rafiki can be found near Harambe Market; Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa walking on a log can be found near the Kilimanjaro Safaris exit; Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa can be found outside the park entrance, near the ticket window; Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed can be found in Africa overlooking the Tree of Life; Zazu can be found on the bridge leading into Africa
These special Magic Shot photo opportunities are available daily from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
If you are looking to have other photo opportunities taken, you can get yours with a new backdrop found at the front of the park, with themed props near the Tree of Life, or at Lion King Corner near Pizzafari.
Also, as a reminder, to celebrate the anniversary, there will be a special showing of the Tree of Life Awakening that includes a segment featuring The Lion King.
Oh and we can’t miss the Hakuna MatataTime Dance Party in the evening which features some of your favorite The Lion King pals, like Timon and Rafiki dancing with Guests.
