Can you believe that Pandora – The World of Avatar has been around at Disney’s Animal Kingdom for a year and a half? The land’s popularity has not seemed to calm down yet, with the wait times for both Na’vi River Journey and Flight of Passage being hours long. And while Satu’li Canteen recently saw a menu change (which I am not happy about….getting rid of the cheeseburger pods on the adult menu and removing the grains option as one of the bases was a terrible decision, in my book), one of the most popular snacks in the land has remained a constant.

This snack is known as the Pongu Lumpia. In a nutshell, it’s a pineapple and cream cheese spring roll. It is served at the snack stand, Pongu Pongu and it is a delightful little treat.

The shell is crunchy and light, the cream cheese is sweet, and the pineapple gives it a bit of a twist with it’s tart and sweet nature. Add the sugar that’s dusted on top to give it a little more sweet to it. It’s served warm, which was also a nice surprise. Guests who are looking for one of those snacks in the theme parks that are totally unique and not like anything they’ll find should definitely pick up one of these delights.

Oh and you may want to wash it all down with their specialty beverages, the Night Blossom, which is a non-alcoholic drink, that is layers of Apple and Desert Pear Limeade topped with Passion Fruit Boba Balls. If you’re looking for a version with a little alcohol, consider the Rum Blossom. Oh and yes, you can get a souvenir cup for your beverage too to remember your time in Pandora.

Pongu Pongu is a great little snack stand and one you should definitely stop at on your journey into Pandora.
