Recently I was in Walt Disney World and decided I wanted to enjoy an evening meal while touring around World Showcase, sampling some of the delicacies during the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival. This year, the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival lasts until July 5, so there is still plenty of time to get to the park and experience not only the gorgeous flowers and topiaries, but also the incredibly delectable food and beverage items available at the many Outdoor Kitchens.

I started with the Fried Cinnamon Roll Bites with Cream Cheese Frosting and Candied Bacon from the Sunshine Griddle booth near Test Track.

These were amazing! They were like little balls of dough with cinnamon frosting inside and then add the cream cheese on top and they were heavenly. (They could have used a little more cream cheese frosting, but they were still yummy!)

Next we went to one of my favorite booths! Trowel & Trellis located in World Showcase Plaza. This has the incredible Grilled Street Corn on the Cob with Savory Garlic Spread. This is legit an entire ear of corn smothered in a delicious garlic butter sauce. I can’t tell you how delicious this is. I’ve dreamed about this garlic butter.

It was then time to head to Germany where two delicacies were picked up at the Bauernmarkt: Farmer’s Market. I got the Toasted Pretzel Bread topped with Black Forest Ham and Melted Gruyère Cheese. This was a meal in itself! The pretzel wasn’t as soft as I wanted it, but it paired fantastic with the ham and cheese. You’ll want something to drink with this though. It was a little salty!

I also tried the Potato Pancakes with House-made Apple Sauce, which was also very good and the applesauce added a sweet flavor to the starchy potatoes.

Finally, it was time to grab dessert. We made a stop at Northern Bloom by the Canada Pavilion. Here we got the Griddled Maple Pound Cake with Warm Peach Compote and Sweet Corn Gelato. This was a lot of flavors! LOL! It was savory because of the corn flavors, but the maple popcorn added a nice flavor and crunch, and the warm peaches meshed with the cold gelato. I have had this before I think the pound cake was sweeter the last time, but it was still a good way to end the night.

I love being able to snack around World Showcase for dinner. Getting to try a few dishes every time allows you not to over-fill yourself while still getting to try some yumminess.
