50s prime time pinnable

I visited 50’s Prime Time Cafe recently for lunch! I am so happy I was able to dine here. Perfectly suited for its location in Disney’s Hollywood Studios for it’s comfort food menu, I was worried about asking about gluten free options. Typical comfort food is often filled with wheat, so is off limits.

I was not only satisfied with my options from 50’s Prime Time Cafe, I was overjoyed with them. It was lunch so I assumed I would have limited choices. Our server was wonderfully helpful and made several suggestions on what I could have. When she said they have a gluten free version of the Chicken Pot Pie that isn’t even on the menu,  I seriously thought she was joking. My days of having a nice pot pie have been over for many years since going gluten free, so I jumped at the chance to try it!

I started with a drink of course:

Dad’s Electric Lemonade

Dad whips up an electrifying blue drink with Vodka, Blue Curaçao, Sweet-and-Sour, and Sprite®

This drink was very refreshing and delicious. I love having a glow cube to take home and add to my drinks after my trip to help me relive some of the moments later.

Then I had the awesome “pot pie” at 50’s Prime Time Cafe that was gluten free. What they did was prepare the delicious filling without using wheat, barley or rye and it was so delicious. Instead of a crust, they toasted up some gluten free bread and added that. I typically do not even bother with gluten free bread because its a waste of time and not worth the carbs. It was delicious paired with the filling.

Then our wonderful server suggested a gluten free dessert. Again, I typically skip dessert due to missing gluten free options and this wonderful:

Chef’s Special Chocolate Brownie

Served à la mode upon request. (For Gluten/Wheat, Egg, Fish/Shellfish, Milk, and Peanut/Tree Nut Allergies)
                                                                            Gluten Free Brownie
It was so chocolatey and scrumptious. I just enjoyed every single bite of it.
I had a wonderful time visiting and eating at 50’s Prime Time Cafe! They really have figured out how to make their gluten free options taste awesome!
