With 2021 in the rear-view mirror, it’s time to review the top 5 movies and series that shouldn’t be missed from 2021.
Mirabel, the only non-magical member of the Madrigal family, decides that she must save the home that brings the magic to their family. With songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda, everyone in the family will delight in the vivid colors and great music of this movie.
- The Jungle Cruise
Based on the classic Disney attraction, fans will delight in hearing many of their favorite lines from skipper Frank Wolff (played by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) as he takes Dr. Lily Houghton and her brother on a journey deep into the Amazon jungle.
- Raya and The Last Dragon
This animated movie follows Raya as she tracks down the last dragon with the hope that together they can help save her homeland. With a female hero, every little girl will cheer as Raya serves as the star of this movie.
- Secrets of the Zoo
If animals are your thing, any of the Secrets of the Zoo series will make for a great watch. Each episode takes you behind the scenes as zoo keepers and veterinarians care for various zoo animals and stands on its own as animals are often followed for several months to wrap up their stories within the episode. Tear alert though, there are occasions where decisions are made by everyone involved that it is in the best interest of the animal to euthanize them. But the show mostly focuses on the opportunity to showcase the life and care of various animals. There are multiple series available, ranging from zoos in Ohio, Australia, North Carolina, and Tampa.
- Anything Marvel
Seriously. With the premier of multiple Disney+ shows (The Falcon and the Winter Solider, Loki, WandaVision, Marvel What If…?, Hawkeye, Marvel Assembled, etc.) and the addition of Black Widow and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, every Marvel fan should be able to find plenty to watch.
