On my recent visit to Walt Disney World, I spent a lot of time exploring the new Disney’s Riviera Resort. And of course, one of the things I did was eat…and I ate at as many places as I could. Take a look at my thoughts on visiting the counter service location called Primo Piatto, as well as enjoying the character breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace. Both are fantastic dining options, in my opinion. But there’s another great hidden gem…well maybe it’s not so hidden, at least location-wise.

Le Petit Cafe

Le Petit Cafe

Found right in the lobby of the resort is Le Petit Cafe. Le Petit Cafe serves up delicious coffee drinks in the morning and afternoon and then alcoholic options and small bites in the afternoon/evening. As you can see from the case, there are a number of great pastry treats to choose from.

There is some seating inside the lounge, but for the most part, Guests are likely going to be grabbing and going. Seating is not ample, however, and I found that grabbing a spot in here was exceedingly difficult, if you wanted one. The good news is that next door, there is a small study type area for Guests, so if you wanted to make your way over there, you may find additional seats that may be open.

I visited in the afternoon and decided I wanted a small nosh, as well as a cup of coffee. I ordered a vanilla latte, as well as the Celebration Cupcake.

Le Petit Cafe

The latte was quite delicious and since it was a little cool out, it was the perfect warm up and pick me up. Granted, I thought the size was a little small, but since Disney doesn’t offer multiple sizing options on their lattes usually, it was what it was. The latte was very smooth and tasty with a LOT of vanilla syrup on the bottom.

Let’s talk about the cupcake. I have a love/hate relationship with Disney cupcakes. Most I find to be kind of dry, but this one was incredibly most. Maybe it’s because it was in a refrigerated cooler. The icing on top was nice and sugary and I liked the surprise of the chocolate mousse! I also thought that the cupcake was not too large….just the right size for one person.

I think Le Petit Cafe is a great spot for a quick bite. If you are hanging out at the hotel, this is a wonderful location to just sort of relax.
