October is here which means Halloween is right around the corner! What are you doing to get in the Halloween spirit? I have been watching the leaves change color, sipping apple cider and consuming pumpkin everything, but now I’m ready to get into Halloween mode and what better way than with a Halloween Playlist Disney Style. These family-friendly tunes will help set the mood while putting up your decorations, during a Halloween party, handing out candy to trick-or-treaters, or in the car with or without the kiddos.
I searched around online to compile my list of songs and they are all easily found on Amazon or iTunes.
One of the first things that came to mind, of course is the soundtrack to Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas composed by Danny Elfman. While the whole soundtrack is Halloween appropriate, the songs I selected were “This is Halloween” and “Oogie Boogie’s Song”.
Mickey’s Monster Bash features 7 kiddie geared songs and 6 spooky sound effects. Monster Mash sung by Goofy himself and Grim Grinning Ghosts from the Haunted Mansion attraction are great selections.
Walt Disney’s Records Halloween Songs and Sounds stars Mickey, Goofy, Tigger, and the gang singing 6 spooky songs with 6 additional sound effects. Heffalumps and Woozles is a favorite on this one.
Disney Villains: Simply Sinister Songs has song favorites from famous Disney villains such as Jafar, Scar, and Ursula.
Disney’s Greatest Hits Volume 3 also has some great songs that can be used in your playlist such as Yo, Ho (A Pirates Life For Me) from Pirates of Caribbean attraction and Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf.

11. Oogie Boogie’s Song – Nightmare Before Christmas
12. Poor Unfortunate Souls – Disney Villains: Simply Sinister Songs
13. He’s A Pirate – Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl Soundtrack
