Rider Switch

If you do have children that are unable to ride a specific ride do to height restrictions, take advantage of Disney’s rider swap or rider switch system.  This system is a great way to help everyone enjoy the rides without having to waste time standing in line twice for the same attraction.

What do you need to know:

  1. You can only use this if a child does not meet the height requirement not because they don’t want to ride something
  1. All children and adults who wish to participate must be present in order to obtain a pass
  1. You receive the pass (looks like an old FastPass slip of paper) from the Cast Member at the beginning of the ride queue
  1. One adult and the child will stay back and wait while others ride the ride
  1. When the original group returns from riding, the adult that waited with the child may then take the ride switch pass and up to 1-2 other riders with them to ride
  1. You normally visit the FastPass entrance with the rider switch pass
