If your kids want to step up their cool factor on your next Walt Disney World vacation they can now get a “Driver’s License” at the Tomorrowland Speedway. I’m always finding ways to find inexpensive, unique souvenirs for our kids when we got to Walt Disney World. This is a great new feature that I know my kids will love next time we visit.
Now if you drive anything like my daughter does, I’m not so sure you will qualify to get a license after you ride the Tomorrowland Speedway; but have no fear, your driving experience bears no weight on the deciding factor if you will receive your license or not. Thank goodness! Each year my kids want to be the driver and now they are both tall enough to have their own car; but we still enjoy riding along with them in a car. I wonder how much longer that will last until we get ejected into our own car!
At the exit to the attraction are photo booths with printers to take your own photo and then a plastic driver’s license will print out. You have the choice to select from three photographs to be printed to your license. It is a plastic license, so your kids will feel like it is “legit”! You can’t pay for the license with your MagicBand, but it does accept credit cards for the form of payment.
The cost to get your license is $5.00. You will also receive a digital copy of the license with your PhotoPass in your My Disney Experience app. If I were a kid and I received my Tomorrowland Speedway license, I know for a fact that I would want to go to the gift shop to get a cool wallet to put my license into!
