Do you need a place to store your belongings on your Walt Disney World vacation so you don’t have to hike through the park with all of your bags for lunch, snacks, change of clothes, etc? Did you know you can store such things in lockers within the parks? Well, here’s some good news! You can, AND, you no longer have to worry about carrying the key to that locker around and potentially losing it during the day.
Lockers are a great place to store items you may have purchased or fragile items that you don’t want to take on rides with you. One thing to keep in mind is that if you are planning on storing your lunch in there, you will need to make sure you have it in a cooler. Also keep in mind that the location of the lockers are at the park entrances, so keep that in mind if you do need to frequent your locker because you’ll need to trek back to the front of the park. But in my opinion, it’s worth renting a locker so I don’t have to carry around too much stuff throughout the day.
The lockers at all of the Walt Disney World Theme parks have been upgraded from lockers requiring a key and a deposit to digital guest lockers. At each locker location there is a self-service kiosk to use your credit card or cash at. If you are using a MagicBand, then you must see a Cast Member at the nearest merchandise location. They will process your transaction and give you a code to input into the kiosk, which will then allow you to access a locker.
Lockers in the Magic Kingdom also now come in various sizes:
Standard (12.5” X 10” X 17”) $7 per day
Large (15.5” X 13” X 17”) $10 per day
Jumbo – ONLY available at Epcot and Magic Kingdom (17” x 22” x 26”) $15 per day
You can find the lockers at all of the main entrance of each park, as well as the International Gateway entrance at Epcot.
