Yay! Another Walt Disney World restaurant will be returning soon! Tusker House, located in the Africa section at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be open again beginning June 20! Guests will be able to begin booking this restaurant on June 4.
There will be some changes to the experience though. First, when the restaurant returns, it won’t be a buffet. Instead it will be a family-style menu with African-inspired flavors.
In addition, I know you’re wondering. Yes, Tusker House will be a character meal, however, you won’t be able to hug your favorite characters like you could before. Instead, Guests will be able to snap distanced selfies. Guests will be able to see Donald, as well as some of other favorite Disney friends. (One would expect based on the content that was shared, those characters will include Goofy and Mickey.)
