Oh my goodness! The questions may finally stop! I joke, but really, I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve been asked the question….when is Space 220 at EPCOT going to open. Especially after it was recently announced that the restaurant would be opening in September. Well, today, we found out officially via Imagineer Zach Riddley’s Instagram that Space 220 will be opening on September 20!

Space 220 is going to be a table service restaurant, found right next door to Mission: SPACE.

Dining here is expected to be one of the most immersive dining experiences that Guests can have. To reach to the restaurant in “space,” Guests will need to board space elevators. These will “transport” you, 220 miles above the earth to the Centauri Space Station. As you begin your ascent, you’ll look down through a viewport to see EPCOT shrink away. (Do keep in mind….you aren’t actually going to space.)

Once you arrive to the restaurant themed around a space station, you’ll be able dine with panoramic views of Earth. Guests can look out of the viewports found inside the restaurant, giving you a real-time perspective.

The restaurant will be a fine dining experience. Lunch will offer a two-course prix fixe menu and there will be a three-course prix fixe menu for dinner. There will also be unique beverages ranging from fine wine to atmospheric cocktails and more.

There has been no announcement on when reservations will be available. The Patina Group will operate Space 220.
