Rafiki’s Planet Watch Will Return to Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Rafiki's Planet WatchHave you or your little one been missing visiting Rafiki’s Planet Watch? The area, which includes the Wildlife Express Train, Conservation Station, and the Affection Section, will officially reopen to Guests later this summer at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

For those who weren’t aware, the land, which is mostly geared towards children, but definitely has something for everyone to enjoy, features a petting zoo, zoological exhibits, the ability to view animals having surgical procedures, and more. Guests can also learn the importance of conservation.

When the area reopens, it will include a few new enhancements and join the celebration of all things The Lion King. (The film turns 25 this year!) Matter of fact, there will be new experiences that draw from Disney’s rich heritage of wildlife animation, and features that celebration of The Lion King.

Rafiki’s Planet Watch was a great spot to just get away, however, due to the train ride that you must take to get there, many didn’t choose to make the journey. Hopefully, now that this attraction is getting a little new life in it, it will be put on the map for those who are looking for a unique activity to do with their family on their next trip to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

There’s no official opening date for Rafiki’s Planet Watch. Make sure to stay tuned as we find out more information.
