It’s the newest sport that’s all the rage. Pickleball. And now, Guests who like to play this popular sport can do so at the Walt Disney World Resort!
Pickleball is now available at the tennis courts at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Bay Lake Tower, Kidani Village at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Disney’s Old Key West Resort. If you want to play, you don’t have to worry about packing your paddle. Disney will actually offer complimentary equipment for players.
Other Family Fitness Activities
This is not the only fun recreational activity that Guests can participate in at the Walt Disney World Resort. Matter of fact, a number of the Resort Hotels are offering family friendly options.
Over at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort in the Lion King area, they are offering family fitness classes. These take place on select days and last about 25 minutes. They allow Guests to dance to a soundtrack inspired by The Lion King.
At Disney’s All-Star Resorts Guests can find hidden wellness challenges and partake in a scavenger hunt. Guests will be able to pick up a map from the front desk or they can stop in one of the shops. Guests will be able to solve clues and complete fitness challenges. Challenges include taking a victory lap around life-size props of your favorite movies or finding hidden characters on the football field. Upon completion, pick up a button at any merchandise location.
Finally, for those who want to lace up their sneakers, take part in a family fun walk/run. These are available at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and along Disney’s BoardWalk.
