Are you anxious about the official opening of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT? If you want to ride the newest Walt Disney World attraction when it opens on May 27, you’ll have two options to choose from.
The first is the virtual queue option. Guests will need to log into the My Disney Experience app. (You will likely need to do so at 7:00 a.m. That’s the time that other virtual queues have opened in the past, though hasn’t been officially confirmed yet by Disney.)Â You’ll then be able to make your reservation for the virtual queue. Do keep in mind that these spots go QUICKLY (and I’m talking usually within less than a minute) so you’ll need to be ON it, if you’re looking to experience this attraction through the virtual queue.
There is one other option though. Guests will have the option to make a purchase for individual Lightning Lane access. This option will go live for those who are staying on-site beginning at 7:00 a.m.
If there are still slots open, Day Guests can make purchases for the Individual Lightning Lane at park opening. (Trust me….this will very likely sell out to those staying on-site. It will be very rare for those who are staying off-site to be able to purchase this option, especially within the first few weeks and likely months of this attraction opening. Maybe even longer.)
For tips on how to best use the Individual Lightning Lanes and Disney Genie+ at EPCOT, check out our Guide.
Those who purchase Individual Lightning Lane access or those who are able to join the Virtual Queue will only be able to do so once per day for this attraction.
With all this being said, there will NOT be a standby queue option for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at this time.
