Are you missing seeing some of your favorite entertainment options at the Walt Disney World Resort? Well, this summer, Guests will once again be able to experience the fun and excitement of live performances in person! That’s because The Festival of the Lion King will be returning to The Harambe Theatre at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! The Harambe Theatre can be found in the Africa section of the park.
The show won’t be exactly the same as before though and rightfully so. It will return in a modified format that as there will be adjustments both onstage and backstage. This will include updates to choreography to allow for appropriate physical distancing. There will also be adjustments for the seating of the audience to allow for proper distancing.
While the show will be modified, it will still include incredible singers, dancers, and other Cast Members. Musical performances will include “Just Can’t Wait to Be King,” “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?” and “Circle of Life” as well as a fire knife performance during “Be Prepared.”
There’s no official return date for the Festival of the Lion King, just yet, but one thing is for sure….we can’t wait to be able to see Simba, Timon, and all our friends from this show once again!
