This makes me so, so happy. Disney has shared that the Electrical Water Pageant is getting some love to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World! The show will feature new scenes in the great nighttime spectacular that features a towering castle and swirling pixie dust. Disney shared an image of the new float, which can be seen above; it looks amazing! In addition, playing alongside the new scene will be a version of the celebration anthem song, “The Magic is Calling.” This new addition will bookend the full traditional show.

For those that have never seen the Electrical Water Pageant, it is a stunning electric-light show. The show occurs aboard small barges. It can be found sailing nightly across Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake. The Pageant features 25-foot tall screens on barges that use Christmas lights to create the incredible display. It also includes fantastically catchy electronic music.

This nighttime show that has been sailing since 1971. Taking place each evening, it makes stops at various resort hotels, as well as just outside the Magic Kingdom. Guests can catch the show at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

I love that this classic that has been around for 50 years is getting some love for the big celebration!
