Over the past year, Disney has not only introduced, but they have also made a number of contactless ways of touring the park better. Things like Mobile Order, Mobile Dine Check-In, using your phone as a room key, and more. But that was just the start of things, because later this year, Disney will be launching a brand new contactless and convenient option called Disney MagicMobile.

With this new service, Guests will be able to create a Disney MagicMobile pass through the My Disney Experience app. They will then be able to add it to their smart device’s digital wallet. From there, all Guests will need to do is just hold up your smart device near an access point, just like you do with a MagicBand. Disney MagicMobile service and its features will roll out first on Apple devices.

Guests may then choose to use either the Disney MagicMobile service or a MagicBand when touring the Walt Disney World Resort. Whichever option works best during their visit is fair game. You’ll even be able to alternate between the two for added flexibility.

For now, for those visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, the existing digital room key feature will continue to be available within the My Disney Experience app. This helps Guests with their arrival by using online check-in service and then being able to go directly to their Disney Resort hotel room, using their phone to unlock their door. (Another great contactless tool!) Disney Resort hotel guests may also still pick up a Key to the World card at the front desk, if they prefer.

We’ll be sure to share more details about the new Disney MagicMobile service as it’s released.
