Disney KiteTails at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will officially end later this month. The last flight will take place on September 30, 2022.
The show debuted as part of the the Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration. During the show, which takes place on the Discovery River Lagoon, larger-than-life kites and colorful props dance through the air to the beat of Disney songs. There are two unique shows, themed to Disney animated classics. They first is The Lion King, which features kites inspired by Simba, Zazu and more. The second show features The Jungle Book, and includes kites inspired by King Louie, Baloo and more.
Moving forward, following the retirement of Disney KiteTails, Guests will be able to continue waving to their favorite Disney Friends cruising by on Flotillas.
This daytime show will continue to take place multiple times a day until its last day.
