We’ve seen the Cirque du Soleil show building sitting empty for years on the West Side at Disney Springs, but today, at the D23 Expo, we have more information about the upcoming replacement to La Nouba. This new show will be a brand new collaboration between Walt Disney Imagineering, Walt Disney Animation Studios, and Cirque du Soleil is in the works.
The unnamed show will combine Disney storytelling and heart with Cirque du Soleil’s signature artistry and will feature a story of a Disney animator and his daughter. Throughout the story, she will go on a journey of self-discovery and the show will include animated characters mixed with live performers, integrating Disney themes throughout.
Previews for this upcoming show will begin March 20, 2020, with a world premiere taking place on April 17.
