Fans of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort are going to want to take note of this change. Disney has shared that they plan to update the cabins at the resort and turn them into Disney Vacation Club options.
More than 350 cabins will replace the existing cabins that are already found at the resort. These proposed cabins would be built with an eye toward the environment, as they will take advantage of more energy-efficient features.
The design of these new cabins will be inspired by the resort’s setting, while also paying homage to the resort’s unique culture and heritage. Each proposed, stand-alone cabin will offer spacious accommodations. They will sleep up to six adults, and feature a bedroom, bathroom, living room, full kitchen and private patio. A select number of cabins are also expected to be dog-friendly.
As with all Disney Vacation Club resorts, the proposed cabins will continue to be open for reservations to all Guests. These include those who are not Disney Vacation Club Members.
The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort – A Disney Vacation Club Resort is projected to open in 2024. It will be the 17th Disney Vacation Club resort. Additional information will be released at a later date.
