Today, Disney shared all the fun and festive holiday events for 2023 at Walt Disney World. These include the return of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, as well as a brand new holiday event at Disney’s Hollywood Studios called Disney Jollywood Nights. But that’s not all for the Christmas holiday season announcements. That’s right! There’s more! First of all, the holiday season kicks off at the Walt Disney World Resort beginning on November 9.
Let’s start with something that’s brand new for 2023. This year, Guests will be able to join Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, and the Snowgies in front of Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom for “Frozen Holiday Surprise.” This brand new “Frozen”-inspired entertainment experience will illuminate the castle in a whole new way. (If we had to guess, this would mean projections. This also means that the Castle Dreamlights are probably a thing of the past…so no more iced out castle.) This new offering will be able to be seen during regular park hours, as well as during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
Returning to Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be the fun and whimsical Merry Menagerie of winter animals. These artisan-sculpted puppets are simply incredible. You’ll think they really are alive.
EPCOT will once again offer the Candlelight Processional during the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays. Candlelight Processional will take place from November 24 through December 30. Also returning will be the Holiday Kitchens, live entertainment, and holiday storytellers around World Showcase.
Finally, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Guests visiting the park during regular park hours, so not during Disney Jollywood Nights, will be able to experience the Sunset Seasons Showcase holiday projection show on The Hollywood Tower Hotel. Also, in Toy Story Land, you’ll find Woody, Jessie, and Buzz dressed for the occasion.
If you head over to Disney Springs, the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll will also be returning, as well snowfall in Town Center.
Oh and if you’re looking for Santa, he’ll be found for appearances in all four parks, at Disney Springs, and even at a Disney Water Park, where you’ll find him dressed in his tropical holiday beachwear.
