Good news 2022 Walt Disney World travelers! We know you’ve been anxiously awaiting the ability to start booking your vacations and guess what? It is now time! 2022 Walt Disney World Vacation Packages are now available!
There are a few things to keep in mind about booking a 2022 vacation package at the Walt Disney World Resort. Here’s what you should be aware of!
What to Know
- Vacations cannot be more than 500 days in the future. This means, that right now, you can only book 2022 Walt Disney World Vacation Packages until around June 2022. The good news? This is a rolling date; so if you have a trip in mind for later in 2022, your ability to book will come up soon!
- Since some Walt Disney World Resort Hotels have not reopened. This means that some of your favorite hotels are not available to book right now. This doesn’t mean that they will be closed for sure in 2022. Disney is continuing to evaluate the situation and will reopen more hotels when they can do so. The best part about trying a new hotel though is that you have the potential to find a new favorite place to stay!
- Disney Dining Plans are not available to book for 2022. We know how much you love the Disney Dining Plan, but while questions about capacity in restaurants are still on the table (get my dining themed joke?), Dining Plans just unfortunately can’t be an option for now. That doesn’t mean that they won’t be re-introduced at a time down the road. Again, Disney is keeping an eye on the situation.
- Guests who book 2022 Walt Disney World Vacation Package WILL still need to make Disney Park Pass reservations. These reservations are required. Guests will need to select which park they would like to visit each day of their vacation. Now, for those who have purchased the Park Hopping option, you will still be able to switch parks without making a second reservation (and as of right now, you can switch parks after 2:00 p.m.), but that initial reservation must be made in order to visit any Walt Disney World theme park that day. Make sure you book your Disney Park Pass Reservations ASAP!
- Disney has announced that in 2022, Disney’s Magical Express will no longer be available as a method for taking Guests to and from Orlando International Airport. More details about that change can be found here. We also have a handy list of other current options you should consider here. Guests can still take advantage of Complimentary transportation options that can be found around the resort. These include buses, monorails and the Disney Skyliner.
