Good news water park fans! Universal’s Volcano Bay Water Theme Park is going to be re-opening from its seasonal closure just a little bit early! The Universal Orlando Resort park will be reopening now to Guests on February 27! It was originally announced that it would be reopening beginning on March 1.

During the park’s seasonal closure, Volcano Bay saw routine annual maintenance that was performed on several attractions, as well as in various areas of the park.

Of course when the water theme park reopens, it will still keep in mind enhanced health and safety procedures. These will remain in place and reflect the guidelines that debuted last year. Key measures include temperature screenings for Guests and Team Members and limiting capacity at the park and on attractions – including rivers and pools. There will also be an enforcing of social distancing, aggressive cleaning and disinfection procedures.

What about face masks? They will be required inside restaurants (except when actively eating or drinking), retail locations and when entering and exiting the park. Face coverings are not permitted on the slides and in the pools.

Do keep in mind that while capacity is limited, Volcano Bay may hit attendance capacities more quickly and park entry may be limited or unavailable. Onsite hotel Guests will have early park admission options.
