It’s almost time for fan-favorite nighttime spectaculars to return to the Disneyland Resort! Four spectaculars will be coming back, very soon. The Main Street Electrical Parade and Disneyland Forever fireworks will be returning to Disneyland Park. World of Color will be returning to Disney California Adventure. All of these will return beginning April 22, 2022. Then on May 28, 2022, Fantasmic! will return to Disneyland Park!
Main Street Electrical Parade
The Main Street Electrical Parade debuted in 1972 and this year marks the 50th anniversary of the parade. To celebrate both that milestone and its triumphant return, there will be a new magnificent grand finale. The finale will draw inspiration from both classic Main Street Electrical Parade floats and Mary Blair’s iconic art style on it’s a small world.

The seven-segment float will bring to life more than a dozen Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios films. This will make it one of the longest sequences in the parade’s history. Guests along each side of the parade route will see different stylized scenes from films like “Encanto,” “The Jungle Book,” “Raya and the Last Dragon,” “Aladdin,” “Coco,” “Mulan,” “Brave,” “The Princess and the Frog” and more. (Yes, that’s right…I said ENCANTO!!!!) The finale also pays tribute to the parade’s heritage with the return of the Blue Fairy character from “Pinocchio”. There will also be a unique, 19-foot-tall representation of Sleeping Beauty Castle.

“Main Street Electrical Parade” will be available for a limited time at Disneyland.
World of Color

World of Color will also be returning. This Disney California Adventure show brings animation to life with powerful fountains to make screens of water. This show combines music, fire, fog and laser effects with memorable animated sequences from Disney and Pixar stories. Scenes include WALL-E, Pocahontas, and Pirates of the Caribbean. The spectacular is presented on a massive “stage” of water, color and light that encompasses all of Paradise Bay. The show is tied together by a soaring musical score that includes familiar Disney melodies and a contemporary version of the 1960s television theme for “Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color.”
World of Color will return to its regular schedule upon returning.
Disneyland Forever

Disneyland Forever fireworks spectacular is complete with pyrotechnics and immersive projections that surround Guests with surprising special effects. Main Street, U.S.A., and a few other spots in Disneyland become a magical canvas into the worlds of Disney and Pixar stories. Disneyland Forever features two original songs: the theme “Live the Magic” and the closing song “Kiss Goodnight,” written by Disney Legend Richard B. Sherman.
Disneyland Forever will be available for a limited time at Disneyland. From April 22 to late spring, Disneyland Forever will be performed Fridays through Sundays. The Mickey’s Mix Magic projections-only show is scheduled Mondays through Thursdays. Then, moving into the summer, Disneyland Forever will then run nightly.
Fantasmic!

Celebrating its 30th anniversary at Disneyland in 2022, Fantasmic! features Disney-animated film images choreographed to a great musical score. Oh and let’s not forget the fire-breathing Maleficent dragon. The waters of the Rivers of America come alive as Mickey Mouse dreams he is the Sorcerer’s Apprentice. During the show, he faces some of Disney’s famous villains, using the power of his imagination to save the day. Along the way, images from Disney films like “Fantasia,” “The Jungle Book,” “Pirates of the Caribbean” and more come to life. The show features live performers, character appearances, enhanced special effects and pyrotechnics.
Fantasmic! will return to its regular schedule beginning May 28.
