It was announced, a little while back, that Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel would be transformed into a new experience that would be themed around Pixar stories. The Pixar Place Hotel at Disneyland Resort will feature a bright new look when it officially finishes its transformation later this winter.
The lobby will will blend beloved Pixar imagery with the hotel’s contemporary setting. Guests will be able to see iconic images from Pixar films starting at the front desk. That’s because characters will be pictured larger than life in artwork. When entering the hotel lobby, Guests will be greeted by the Pixar Lamp balancing atop its ball! There will also be a whimsical character-inspired mobile welcoming guests to the reimagined lobby atrium.
Pixar Place Hotel Activities

Later this summer, Guests staying at the hotel can splash at an all-new water play area inspired by “Finding Nemo.” Guests will see Crush atop a 186-foot-long waterslide, Hank at the pop-jet splash pad and more!
In addition, there will be a family play court that will be added to the deck with activities inspired by Pixar’s famous short films. Interactive games and imaginative free play celebrate favorite friends from “La Luna,” “Bao,” “For the Birds,” and “Burrow.” And Guests may enjoy food and drinks under the umbrellas from “The Blue Umbrella.”

By night, the pool deck is the ideal spot to lounge by cozy character-inspired firepits with family and friends. (You may even catch the fireworks from Disneyland.)
Dining

This fall, the hotel will unveil a new restaurant called Great Maple. This Southern California-based modern American eatery specializes in playful takes on upscale comfort food. Guests will be able to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner all day. Dishes will include Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Maple Bacon Doughnuts, Cajun Shrimp & Cheddar Biscuit Benedict, and Soda Pop-Braised Baby Back Ribs! Great Maple will also have a full bar including beer, wine and cocktails.

There will even be a new grab ‘n’ go coffee shop and café near the lobby.
There’s no official word on when all these updates will be finished, so stay tuned here for details.
