Halloween Time is coming back to the Disneyland Resort! This spook-tacular time of year will take place from September 6 through October 31 at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure.

Halloween Time features seasonal attraction overlays, Halloween-themed décor, encounters with favorite Disney villains and great food and beverage options. Each park has unique offerings.

Disneyland

During Halloween Time at Disneyland, Guests will be able to experience the fun fall décor lining Main Street, U.S.A., including a giant Mickey Mouse jack-o’-lantern and the Pumpkin Festival. There’s also the fantastic Haunted Mansion Holiday attraction which celebrates the film, The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Head to Frontierland, for an exhibit that serves as a Día de los Muertos tribute which features a musical trio of iconic skeleton figurines, brightly colored flowers and other decorative items.

If you are looking for a nighttime show, you’ll be able to catch“Halloween Screams” which will feature supernatural projection and special effects on most nights of the season. This is the first time that this show has been shown for regular park Guests in nearly a decade. Then on select nights, the show will be enhanced with the addition of fireworks.

Disney California Adventure

When Guests enter Disney California Adventure, they’ll find that Oogie Boogie has once again taken over Buena Vista Street. There will even be new Halloween magic on the façade of Carthay Circle which will feature bats swarming around, energy pulses from within, and projections which will transform the iconic tower structure with spellbinding moments. Also, you’ll want to see the 10-foot-tall statue of the Headless Horseman holding his jack-o-lantern head.

In Hollywood Land, once evening falls, Guests will want to make sure to visit Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!, as the attraction will transform nightly into Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark. Monsters After Dark takes Guests into the story after The Guardians have successfully escaped The Collector’s Fortress, however, they discover that they have accidentally left Groot behind and they must help Rocket distract the creatures on the loose so he can rescue Groot.

In Cars Land, celebrate with Haul-O-Ween! Guests will be able to ride Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree or Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween, as well as encounter Lightning McQueen, Mater, Cruz and Red dressed in costume as they get ready to go “trunk-or-treating.”

Finally, in Paradise Gardens Park, the Plaza de la Familia will return for a celebration inspired by Día de los Muertos. Guests will find live entertainment, craft making, food, interactive experiences and special merchandise all themed after the film Coco. You also won’t want to miss A Musical Celebration of Coco where Miguel joins the Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia and the Mariachi Divas.

Plus, this year, Guests will be able to purchase tickets for the new Oogie Boogie Bash. Oogie Boogie Bash, which takes the place of Mickey’s Halloween Party this year, will run for 20 select nights at Disney California Adventure beginning September 17. Oogie Boogie Bash will feature exclusive entertainment, including the new “World of Color” spectacular – “Villainous!,” character encounters, immersive treat trails and more!
