
Cinco de Mayo is this weekend and in order to celebrate, Tortilla Jo’s at Downtown Disney in the Disneyland Resort will be celebrating in a big way. There will be a fiesta of flavors with delicious food & drink specials. While Cinco de Mayo is the Mexican celebration of Mexico’s victory over the French at The Battle of Puebla in 1862, at Downtown Disney, Cinco de Mayo means amazing Mexican food, margaritas, mariachis, and more!
Special offerings will include photo opportunities with props, live music, festive decorations, children’s arts & crafts, and a balloon artist
On May 4th the menu will include specially crafted options by Executive Chef Ernesto Hernandez with the Parillada Batalla de Pueblo (family style fajita skillet). The dish is made with carne asada, grilled chicken, chorizo, Mexican shrimp, asadero cheese, over charred onions, nopales rancheros, chile toreados, and is served with rice and beans, salsa de molcajete, and choice of corn or flour tortillas. This family meal will cost $50 and will serve 2 or $65 and will serve 3.
On May 5th, you will be able to experience performances by the Mariachi Divas from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. There will also be a tequila tasting and an extensive list of incredible margaritas to enjoy.
