Disney Cruise Line Guests will soon have the ability to use DisneyBand+ during their cruise vacations. DisneyBand+ is the name of the MagicBand+ technology that’s currently in use at the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts. Later this summer, Guests will be able to use this unique wearable technology found in DisneyBand+ for a hands-free experience when sailing onboard the cruise ship.

DisneyBand+ will allow Guests to easily unlock their stateroom door and make charges in shops for things like sweet treats or souvenir.

In addition, children ages 3 and up can use their bands in place of the Oceaneer Club Band to access kids’ clubs. This includes Disney’s Oceaneer Club while onboard the ship and at Scuttle’s Cove at Castaway Cay.

Plus, you’ll be able to use DisneyBand+ when getting photos taken onboard the ship. With one simple tap, you can easily link your photos to your stateroom making it easy to view and purchase photos during your cruise.

Wearing your band  will even allow you to discover additional surprises throughout your cruise! You never know where the technology will allow for extra fun.

DisneyBand+ is rechargeable and it will be waterproof. Oh and good news! You will be able to use the same band on Disney Cruise Line AND at Disney Parks and Disney Resort hotels. Disney will even offer three Disney Cruise Line-exclusive designs to choose from.

DisneyBand+ will debut beginning this summer on Disney Cruise Line. There will be a special preview opportunity on select Disney Wish sailings prior to its official debut.

Disney shared a video showcasing all that DisneyBand+ will be able to do. Take a look here:
