The seventh ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet will be called the Disney Adventure! This new ship is a ship that Disney has acquired a partially completed ship that they will be converting into a new Disney Cruise Line vessel. Disney will work with the Meyer Werft shipbuilding company to complete the cruise ship that had previously been known as the Global Dream in Wismar, Germany. It will also be reimagined with certain features that are staples to a Disney cruise ship and is expected to set sail in 2025.
The Disney Adventure will be the first Disney ship to sail from Singapore and throughout Southeast Asia.
The 208,000-gross-ton ship is expected to be among the first in the cruise industry to be fueled by green methanol. This is one of the lowest emission fuels available. Disney Cruise Line expects the passenger capacity to be approximately 6,000 with around 2,300 crew members.
Disney also has the Disney Treasure also in the works, which will debut in 2024.
