I had the pleasure of dining at the new Epcot<\/a> restaurant Space 220 in early December, 2021. As soon as my 60 day date for making dining reservations opened up, I began a frantic attempt at obtaining the highly sought after spot. I checked via the My Disney Experience App multiple times daily. Finally at 30 days out from my arrival, I was able to snag a reservation.

\nThe elevator up to the space station was awesome! It truly is an experience from the moment you walk into the lobby. Leaving Epcot and arriving at that space station is such a fun and different experience.<\/p>\n

\"Space<\/p>\n

I need to eat gluten free, so I was concerned about whether they could accommodate my needs being so far away from Earth. I need not have worried at all as they were extremely accommodating on Space 220<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Lunch is a two course meal for $55 dollars per person.<\/p>\n

I started with the Big Bang Burrata. Burrata di Mozzarella, Grilled Artichoke Hearts, Arugula, Sunflower Seed Romesco. This was all naturally gluten free and it was delicious. The Burrata was super soft inside and the artichoke hearts were tender and wonderful. I really enjoyed this as a starter to my meal. It was a very generous portion and I could\u2019ve shared it with my dining companions, but I ended up eating every bit of it myself!<\/p>\n

For my entree, I chose something that was inherently gluten free as well. I chose the Flat Iron Steak, with Coffee Space Rub, Smashed fingerling potatoes, Cabernet Butter, Haricot Vert. What is Haricot Vert? It\u2019s basically really tender French green beans! All of the items listed contain no wheat, barley or rye which means for me, that is perfect! I ordered it medium rare and they cooked it to perfection! It doesn\u2019t look like a huge portion, but I was really full after finishing this plate. Between the appetizer being a good sized portion and then the lunch, I was truly satisfied. As you can see in the picture, my dining companions each had the (not gluten free) Centauri Burger and they loved them!<\/p>\n

They had some really fun drinks to choose from, or should I say, Atmospheric Spirits? I chose the Celestial Cosmopolitan: Tito\u2019s Handmade Vodka, Cointreau, Cranberry Hibiscus Juice, Moon Dust.<\/p>\n

If you are visiting Epcot, and you can get into this restaurant, it really is worth visiting at least once. The food is great and so is the atmosphere. \u00a0It is fairly pricey so you may only visit once and be done, but it is very worth that one trip to get the experience and well prepared food.<\/p>\n
