Meeting Goofy at Epcot’s Character Spot<\/em><\/p>\r\n It seems like everyone who has a Disney vacation \u2013 adults, children, grandparents, singles, doesn\u2019t matter \u2013 makes it a priority to get their photo taken with Mickey. And who can blame them? After all, Walt himself told us not to forget that \u201cit all started with a mouse!\u201d Goofy dressed for the 60th anniversary of Disneyland<\/em><\/p>\r\n In Disneyland,<\/a> we spent many happy hours letting our tiny girl loose at Goofy\u2019s House in Mickey\u2019s Toontown<\/a>. As she got older, we started to celebrate birthdays at Goofy\u2019s Kitchen<\/a> in the Disneyland Hotel<\/a>, where before we were even seated, we were escorted into a private photo shoot with Goofy himself. And it was always fun to see Goofy dressed in something different, whether that was a Halloween costume, a Christmas sweater, or his anniversary finery. I even got to see him dressed as a chef when Naples Ristorante<\/a> in Downtown Disney reopened after a renovation! I remember running into Goofy in the lobby of the Disneyland Hotel.<\/p>\r\n The\u00a0lobby of the\u00a0Paradise Pier Hotel<\/i><\/p>\r\n And there\u2019s this wonderful Goofy statue in the lobby of the Paradise Pier Hotel.<\/a><\/p>\r\n The Great Goofini at the Magic Kingdom<\/em><\/p>\r\n At Walt Disney World<\/a>, we ran into Goofy wherever we went! All four parks<\/a>, the hotels<\/a>, you name it. Goofy was always there to goof around with us. Who could forget the Great Goofini in the Magic Kingdom? We met Goofy dressed in his everyday clothes in Epcot. At the Garden Grove in the Swan Hotel, we got several visits from Goofy. At Tusker House in Animal Kingdom we saw him in his safari best.<\/p>\r\n Before boarding the Disney Dream<\/em><\/p>\r\n And then there was our Disney Cruise<\/a> on the Dream<\/a>. Before we even stepped foot on this beautiful ship, there he was, waiting to welcome us to our vacation. Once on board, we decided to spend some time playing Goofy Golf, which is a fun and wacky miniature golf course. On our way up to that deck, who did we see but Goofy himself! \u201cWow, we\u2019re heading up to play on your golf course,\u201d we told him. Goofy offered my daughter his arm and escorted us to the deck! <\/p>\r\n Do you love getting your photo taken with Goofy? But looking through my vacation photos, I\u2019m surprised to see that there\u2019s a character we always seem to find ourselves with. It\u2019s Mickey\u2019s good ol\u2019 pal who briefly went by the name of Dippy Dawg. Goofy reminds us that there is a time to be serious, but there is also a time to let loose and have fun. Maybe we\u2019d all be a little happier if we listened to the inner Goofy in all of us more often.<\/p>\r\n
