It\u2019s that time of the year to remember to say \u201cI love you\u201d to the special people in our lives!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Romantic stories for Valentines Day are not hard to find in the Disney universe. One of my favorites is Lady and the Tramp! I mean, moonlit dinner with live music while eating pasta? Followed by acts of bravery and ending up together forever? Sounds like a perfect Valentine\u2019s Day story to me!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-80329\" src=\"https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/iu.gif\" alt=\"Lady and the Tramp Valentines\" width=\"500\" height=\"246\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you have kids, this holiday comes with those school Valentine\u2019s Day parties, which means either buying or making cards for everyone in class! This year, we decided to have a little fun and make our cards. Because we love Lady and the Tramp, we made Lady and the Tramp inspired Valentines with pasta!<\/p>\n<p>This is a pretty classic craft, but it\u2019s definitely fun for kids and simple to set up for parents!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Materials:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Valentine-Template-1.pdf\">This template<\/a>, printed out on normal 8.5&#8243; x 11&#8243; paper<\/li>\n<li>Poster board<\/li>\n<li>Various kids of pasta (the more fun shapes the better)<\/li>\n<li>Elmer&#8217;s glue (stick glue and classic white glue)<\/li>\n<li>Markers<\/li>\n<li>Scissors (adults do the cutting on this craft!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Optional:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Clear cups<\/li>\n<li>Paper plates<\/li>\n<li>Baby wipes if you have smaller kids so that you can wipe gluey hands<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure id=\"attachment_80327\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-80327\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-80327\" src=\"https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Valentines-70.jpg\" alt=\"Lady and the Tramp Valentines\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Valentines-70.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Valentines-70-400x267.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Valentines-70-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-80327\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Getting ready to make these Valentines!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><em>Before you get the kids:<\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.themouseforless.com\/blog_world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Valentine-Template-1.pdf\">Download our template<\/a> and print out as many Valentines as you need. I added my child&#8217;s name on my version but feel free to write your kid&#8217;s name at the bottom (or have them sign it themselves).<\/li>\n<li>Cut each half sheet out and use the stick Elmer&#8217;s glue to attach them to the poster board. The stick glue won\u2019t make your paper all soggy and the poster board will help hold the weight of the pasta.<\/li>\n<li>Optional: Pour some of the different kinds of pasta into the clear cups. Let the kids color their valentines on the outsides. If your kids are older and more gentle they can even try to color the pasta! This was easier for our baby to do and not get pasta everywhere as the curved sides of the plate caught most of the pasta. He loved to feel the different shapes of the pasta and drop them on the plate.
