Goofy’s Kitchen, Disneyland<\/em><\/p>\n For some families, a Disney trip is not complete without a meal at a buffet restaurant or two. Disneyland<\/a> does not have the sheer number of options as Walt Disney World<\/a> does. But these four restaurants definitely have their fans! \u00a0Below, I highlight each of them and tell you my favorite things about each of them.<\/p>\n At this restaurant in the Paradise Pier Hotel<\/a>, there are three buffet meals to choose from. Donald Duck\u2019s Seaside Breakfast<\/a> features Donald Duck and his Disney character friends and an all-you-care-to-eat breakfast buffet. My favorite part of this buffet is the build-your-own-parfait station, where you can mix and match your favorite yogurt and toppings.<\/p>\n On the weekends, you can enjoy Donald Duck\u2019s Seaside Brunch<\/a>, which expands on the typical Mickey Mouse waffles by also adding lunch items to the buffet. Once again, Disney characters will come to your table.<\/p>\n In the evenings, you can enjoy the Calitalian Dinner Buffet.<\/a> This meal does NOT include characters, but there is an enticing spread of Italian favorites served in a California setting. Soups, salads, entrees and desserts are plentiful. If your kids are picky eaters, there is a kids\u2019 section for those who really don\u2019t want to stray too far from mac and cheese and chicken nuggets.<\/p>\n My advice about this restaurant? Make the latest possible reservation for the weekend buffet. Hit the parks as soon as you are able to enter, enjoy the less crowded morning hours, and then take a break at this character brunch buffet just as the afternoon crowds are entering the parks. We\u2019ve done this before and the servers told us to stay as long as we\u2019d like and take as many photos with the characters as we wanted since there was no one else waiting for a table! Then, refreshed and reenergized (and maybe a little stuffed!) you can head back the parks for more fun.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This classic Disneyland Hotel<\/a> eatery is a perfect place for a celebration of any kind. Whether you choose breakfast or dinner, you\u2019ll be greeted with a large and varied buffet. Goofy and his Disney character friends will gladly pose for photos and sign autographs.<\/p>\n The breakfast buffet<\/a> features made-to-order omelets and sinfully good cheese blintzes. But the signature item is Goofy\u2019s peanut butter and jelly pizza. That\u2019s right – it\u2019s a traditional pizza crust topped with melted peanut butter and grape jelly.<\/p>\n For dinner,<\/a> there is a carving station as well as a catch of the day, and a really impressive salad bar. Desserts are plentiful and in very small portions, so you can make yourself an assorted plate and try a tiny bit of everything!<\/p>\n My advice about this restaurant? Unless the parks are opening late and you can snag a very early reservation, don\u2019t spend precious early morning park time here. I love coming here for dinner on arrival night when we don\u2019t have park tickets. It\u2019s the perfect way to enjoy Disney magic at the beginning of your vacation!<\/p>\n This Disneyland Park<\/a> classic is currently the only buffet restaurant inside a Disneyland Resort theme park. At breakfast time, Minnie and Friends – Breakfast in the Park<\/a> is a buffet that features visits from Minnie and her Disney pals.<\/p>\n The spread here is the most basic out of all the Disneyland buffets: made-to-order omelets, Mickey waffles, and other traditional items. However, the setting, right on Main Street, U.S.A., with a gorgeous view of the Castle, makes this a prime destination for vacationers.<\/p>\n My advice about this restaurant? Get the last possible breakfast seating here and call it brunch. This way, you can enter the park at rope drop (or sooner if you\u2019re staying at a Disney hotel and Early Entry is being offered), tour in the blissfully less crowded early morning hours, and then take a well-deserved break for a late breakfast\/early lunch just as most of the crowds are just beginning to show up.<\/p>\n This restaurant in the gorgeous Grand Californian Hotel<\/a> features different buffets during the day. Mickey\u2019s Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet<\/a> features traditional breakfast items like made-to-order omelets. Mickey and his Disney friends, often dressed in adventure gear, visit guests to pose for photos and sign autographs.<\/p>\n Between 11:25am and 11:30am, the buffet magically changes into Mickey\u2019s Tales of Adventure Brunch Buffet<\/a>. Hearty lunch items are added to the buffet along with the traditional breakfast items. Mickey and his friends will spend time with guests at each table.<\/p>\n The dinner buffet<\/a> does not include characters, but a hearty buffet features a Chef\u2019s Daily Special, soups, a carving station, flatbreads, and kid-friendly fare for the unadventurous. There is also a World of Color Dining package where you can enjoy the buffet and get vouchers for a preferred viewing area of the California Adventure nighttime spectacular.<\/p>\n My advice about this restaurant? If you are staying at the Grand Californian, pick a morning when you\u2019re planning to go to Disney California Adventure, and make a breakfast reservation for a time before the park opens. Once you are done with breakfast, you can use the exclusive entrance for hotel guests into the park! If you are not staying at this hotel, I recommend the fantastic dinner buffet.
