Welcome to the Lucky Fortune Cookery!<\/em><\/p>\n A week ago, my family and I visited California Adventure<\/a> to attend the Oogie Boogie Bash<\/a>. We decided to grab an early dinner before the party started. We found ourselves in Pacific Wharf and rather than go to our old standby, the Pacific Wharf Caf\u00e9<\/a>, we decided to try the Lucky Fortune Cookery<\/a>.<\/p>\n This seating area is central to all Pacific Wharf quick-service eateries<\/em><\/p>\n As you can probably tell from the name, the Lucky Fortune Cookery specializes in Asian quick-service fare. The ordering section is outdoors and shaded, and colorful paper lanterns decorate the area.<\/p>\n There is a central seating area in Pacific Wharf which also welcomes guests who have purchased food from the above mentioned Pacific Wharf Caf\u00e9 as well as Cocina Cucamonga<\/a>, which serves Mexican fare. This area can become quite congested during peak mealtimes, but at 5:00 p.m. we found plenty of seating available. This might also have to do with the fact that California Adventure was closing at 6:00 p.m. to the general public because of the hard-ticketed Oogie Boogie Bash<\/a> beginning at 6.<\/p>\n This restaurant offers Mobile Ordering<\/a>, as well as discounts for Disney Vacation Club<\/a> members and Annual Passholders.<\/p>\n Teriyaki Chicken<\/em><\/p>\n I can\u2019t remember the last time this happened, but my entire family ordered the same thing: Teriyaki Chicken, for $12.00 each. It came with white rice, broccoli, carrots and water chestnuts. My husband and I also each got a Lucky Dragon IPA, for $11 each.<\/p>\n The portion size was decent, and the chicken was cooked nicely. The teriyaki sauce was sweet without being cloying, and the vegetables were cooked well, still maintaining a pleasant crunch. The rice was cooked just right.<\/p>\n The Lucky Dragon IPA was cold and refreshing, and hit the spot on a hot late September Southern California Day. It was crisp and had hints of citrus in it. The label said that the lemons and oranges used were both locally sourced.<\/p>\n Lucky Dragon IPA<\/em><\/p>\n Here\u2019s the bottom line: The food here is fine, but nothing special. If you have a good Asian take-out restaurant near you, you\u2019ll probably get something nearly identical to what we ordered. Although I\u2019m not disappointed in my meal, the next time we find ourselves in Pacific Wharf I think I\u2019ll head to the Pacific Wharf Caf\u00e9 instead, where the food is something I don\u2019t get to enjoy every day.<\/p>\n Paper lanterns<\/em><\/p>\n But if you are in the mood for Asian food, this is a perfectly serviceable fast food spot, with good portions of food that should serve you well for either lunch or dinner.<\/p>\n Have you tried Lucky Fortune Cookery before?
