I\u2019ve been to Walt Disney World<\/a> in summer, and I can tell you, nothing is more refreshing than enjoying some ice cream on those hot, humid days! (Well, maybe a Dole Whip\u2026.but that\u2019s another blog post.)<\/a><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re going to be on vacation for a week or more, you might find yourself getting tired of the same standard vanilla, chocolate or strawberry options. If so, here are the most unusual flavors of ice cream I could find at Walt Disney World, and where to get them!<\/p>\n

OOEY GOOEY BUTTER CAKE ICE CREAM – AMPLE HILLS CREAMERY<\/a> – THE BOARDWALK<\/a><\/h3>\n

This is perfect for when you\u2019re taking a break from the parks, or if you happen to be staying at the Boardwalk. Ample Hills Creamery has a lot of unique flavors to pick from, but this one stands out. The rich vanilla and the butter cake swirled in might be enough to put this flavor over the top, but it\u2019s the surprising tang of cream cheese that really makes it stand out.<\/p>\n

CARAMEL-GINGER ICE CREAM – LOTUS BLOSSOM CAF\u00c9<\/a> – EPCOT<\/a><\/h3>\n

This unassuming quick service restaurant in the China Pavilion has never been a go-to restaurant for me. But their ice cream flavors are always interesting. In the past I fell in love with a red bean ice cream here, but now there\u2019s a Caramel-Ginger flavor that really stands out. A little spicy and a little sweet, it\u2019s something unexpected you can enjoy while wandering World Showcase.<\/p>\n

CINNAMON WITH CARAMELIZED APPLE AND CRUMBLE CRUNCH – L\u2019ARTISAN DES GLACES – <\/a>EPCOT<\/h3>\n

It\u2019s hard to go wrong with any of the frozen delicacies in the France Pavilion, but this flavor is fantastic. It\u2019s sort of like a version of ice cold apple pie a la mode that you can eat while walking around a theme park. All the flavors are there, and the only problem I can think of with this treat is that you might get brain freeze from trying to eat it too fast!<\/p>\n

KEY LIME SOFT-SERVE – STORYBOOK TREATS<\/a> – MAGIC KINGDOM<\/a><\/h3>\n

This ice cream spot in Fantasyland often serves up specialty cones and cups themed towards different Disney characters and movies. Although I\u2019ve had lime sherbert quite a bit, this is the first and only time I\u2019ve ever seen lime soft-serve ice cream. It\u2019s creamy, tangy, and very refreshing on a hot day.<\/p>\n

ESPRESSO CHIP ICE CREAM – GHIRARDELLI SODA FOUNTAIN AND CHOCOLATE SHOP<\/a> – DISNEY SPRINGS<\/a><\/h3>\n

Another great choice for a non-park day, Ghirardelli offers many different floats, sundaes, cups and cones. But this flavor is delicious, basically the best quality coffee flavored ice cream you\u2019ll ever have. Although you have a variety of cones to choose from, I prefer to enjoy this in a cup, so I can savor the taste of the ice cream without any other flavors interfering!<\/p>\n
